The National Fund for Sacred Places

The National Fund for Sacred Places, a program of Partners for Sacred Places in collaboration with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, has helped more than 100 historic congregations secure over $50 million to restore and repurpose their spaces. The Fund provides grants for urgent capital projects, and support to ensure their success. The program is generously supported by Lilly Endowment Inc.

Emergency Recovery Grant

Intervention Fund

The Intervention Fund is an emergency grant program under the umbrella of the National Fund for Sacred Places. The Intervention Fund supports stewards of historic sacred places with building repair and recovery after an unanticipated emergency, such as extreme weather or vandalism. The Intervention Fund offers up to $100,000 per congregation for short-term response, planning, or capital projects. No cash match is required. Applications are accepted by invitation only.
